Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival

Make it a weekend of great art, music & food at the Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival, one of largest open-air art markets in the region. For two days, Downtown Burbank streets will be filled with more than 100 award-winning artists selling original works and demonstrating their craft, Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22. The show spans three blocks of San Fernando Boulevard from Magnolia to Olive in Downtown Burbank. Saturday hours run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival is free and open to the public.

Now in its fifth year, this must-see art event attracts more than 30,000 people, who come to browse the one-of-a-kind oil paintings, prints, sculptures, photography, ceramics and more on display. Attendees can purchase or commission unique works of art at affordable prices, enjoy live musical entertainment, watch pottery wheel demonstrations and see chalk artists create masterpieces on city streets. It's the perfect way to experience a European-style street festival with great shopping, outdoor dining and entertainment all combined in an inviting downtown setting.

THE PLAYBOY JAZZ FESTIVAL ADDS TOP ARTISTS TO STELLAR LINEUP FOR 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION JUNE 14-15 AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL

The excitement surrounding the Playboy Jazz Festival continues to mount. Trumpeter Terence Blanchard and bassist Marcus Miller have been added as special guests as well as Amy Keys, DJ C-Minus and 41 student dancers from the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.

Blanchard, who will perform with The James Moody Quartet, is an internationally renowned jazz trumpeter, bandleader, composer and arranger.

Bassist Marcus Miller, D.J. C-Minus and dancers from the noted Debbie Allen Academy will join Herbie Hancock for a special performance of "Rockit."

Miller is best known for his long term associations with Miles Davis, Luther Vandross and David Sanborn. Miller will also host the first ever Playboy Jazz Cruise scheduled to set sail January 25th to February 1st, 2009 as the finale to the Festival's 30th Anniversary.
C-Minus has worked with everyone from Wu-Tang Clan, the Foo Fighters, and Moby to Korn, Johnny Cash, Blink 182, Metallica, Green Day, Kid Rock and Kanye West.
Vocalist Amy Keys will perform. Her credits include k.d. lang, Joe Cocker, Tears For Fears, Kevin Spacey, Michael Bolton and Philip Bailey.
