Los Angeles's beloved baseball team, along with the Susan G. Komen LA affiliate, is hosting a charity event that hits home for many Dodger lovers. Offering three different packages, Bat for the Cure® is giving fans the opportunity to support the efforts in discovering a cure for breast cancer which is estimated to take around 40,000 lives by the conclusion of 2009.
On August 22, fans of all ages are welcome to participate in a full day of activities including batting practice at Dodger Stadium, a baseball game versus the Cubs, and a luncheon. Tickets are costly, but proceeds aid in providing uninsured and less fortunate victims with breast screenings and diagnostics along with treatment options.
The Ultimate Fan Package for $275 offers admission to the Komen pre-game luncheon, a ticket to the baseball game in the stadium's loge level, a tour of the Dodgers Clubhouse, batting practice and refreshments on the field, and a photo to remember the event.
At $200, the Super Fan Package provides admission to the luncheon, a loge level Dodger ticket to that August 22 game, a Clubhouse tour, refreshments and a warm up session on the field, as well as a picture on the field.
Following the Super Fan Package is Fanatic at $125 which includes admission to the Komen luncheon before the game, loge tickets to the Dodgers vs. Cubs game, and memories to last a lifetime.
