Bronze Sculpture By Daniel Rotblatt

Daniel Rotblatt works primarily in bronze, he casts all his pieces himself using a unique mold-making technique tailored to his one-of-a-kind sculptures. The process requires the destruction of the master and molds, so each sculpture cannot be replicated.
He has exhibited his sculpture and installations in solo, two person, and group exhibitions throughout Los Angeles. His work is in a number of private collections worldwide, and he has won several prestigious awards and honors such as the Marilyn Werby Scholarship award and the Order of the Laurel.
The Constraits show started as an exploration into creating a visual opposition to our perception of certain materials. As it evolved, it developed into an expression of psychological themes; the bronze slabs or ribbons have become imbued with emotions and direction. The sculptures in this series are unique creations.
Runs through August 8.
