The Spirit of San Francisco
By Mel and Ronnie Greenberg

San Francisco is an urban paradise filled with wonder and surprise. Excitement sparks from the city's rich history, colorful neighborhoods, and lively waterfront.

Celebrated attractions

A visit to San Francisco would not be complete without the Golden Gate Bridge. Explore by foot, car, bicycle, tour bus, fire engine tour, or soar over it via a helicopter or seaplane.

Fisherman's Wharf is a food lovers haven and center of the action. Mimes, musicians, magicians, human robots, jugglers and other street performers provide entertainment to onlookers day and night. Pier 39 is San Francisco's premier Bay highlight. Among its numerous attractions are the sea lions who have made their home on floating platforms. At the entrance is Aquarium of the Bay where you can view the marine life in San Francisco Bay.

Other area highlights include Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, Ghiradelli Square, Japan Center, AT&T Park. Lombard Street is famous as the world's most crooked street with nine twisting hairpin turns in a one-block stretch.

Where to stay and dine

Unpack your bags at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf. Set in the center of all the action, the hotel has 313 chic guestrooms and suites featuring the plush Hyatt Grand Bed with pillow top mattresses; a 32 inch flat screen LCD TV, and King rooms that feature a luxurious oversized rain-shower. WiFi service is available. Stay Fit@ Hyatt Fitness Center offers 24-hour access with state- of- the art Life Fitness ® cardio machines, yoga mats and free weights. The hotel boasts one of San Francisco's only outdoor heated pool and whirlpool.

Dine at the hotel's Knuckles at the Wharf a sports friendly restaurant, that dishes up classic American comfort favorites and barbeque specialties. It's the ideal setting for watching any type of sports, on any one of the bar's 18 TV screens. The hotel's wine lounge Enoteca Musto is a great place to kick back and unwind. Situated adjacent to Knuckles but in a private club-like setting Enoteca Musto highlights wine from California's wine country and small plates featuring artisan cheeses, and local seasonal products.
