Carrousel of Clowns

The Carrousel of Clowns is a highly acclaimed troupe of performers of all ages. They volunteer time and telents to bring love and laughter to many children’s homes, convalescent and retirement homes and the California Special Olympics.

The Carrousel of Clowns captivates its audiences with fun-filled and fast-paced performances, packed with zany antics, magic and puppetry.

The Carrousel of Clowns is the proud recipient of the Volunterr Activist Award, citing their troupe for its outstanding contribution to the communtiy. They have also been honored with a Congratulatory Resolution from the City of Los Angeles for bring color and laughter into the lives of thousands.

The troupe’s membership includes volunteers froma variety of backrounds and ages. They welcome all who are interested in joining and they will train you in the art of “clowning around.”

Nuts for Mutts: The Walk 2010

Nuts for Mutts – The Walk 2010, is April 18, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center

This fun-filled family fundraiser, in its sixth year, will feature a 5K walk-a-thon. Route highlights will include "pawzstations" with plenty of water, food and fun for pets of all kinds and their human companions.

New for 2010 include an expanded pet-friendly exhibit area and children’s activities, a canine fashion show, a dog training clinic, and more. New Leash On Life, http://www.newleash.org, has been responsible for the spaying and neutering of thousands of pets and the rescuing and placement of over 3,000 dogs. In addition, they provide free educational seminars at local shelters and schools, set shelter rescue priorities on “hard to place” animals requiring medical or special care, founded the Lend A Paw Program which rescues dogs from shelters, rehabilitates them and transforms them into Assistance and Therapy dogs, founded the P.E.T.’s program (Pet Educational Trainers) and co-founded Partners for Life, which saved hundreds at the East Valley Animal Shelter.
