Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemblethe first black classical ballet companyhas achieved unprecedented success, bringing innovative and bold new forms of artistic expression to audiences around the world.
Arthur Mitchell has for four decades personified the vision and ambition needed to shape a dance company. With a style based on 20th-century classicism, the company is noted for graceful and vigorous performances of works by such choreographers as Balanchine, Robbins, and Mitchell himself.

Explore Chinatown

We gather at the Full-erton Train Station at 7:15 AM and take the Metrolink train to Union Station, at which Zoot gives a tour of station. We walk three blocks to Chinatown and tour the historical city.
At 10 a.m. we tour the Chinese American Museum before sitting down for a remarkable dim-sum lunch at LA’s best dim-sum restaurant, Ocean Seafood. Keep your eyes open as this is a popular haunt for Hollywood’s appetites. Last time Zoot sat next to Ray Ramano!
After lunch, we watch the 111th annual Chinese New Year Golden Dragon Parade. We return to Fullerton on the 4:30 PM train and will be back a few minutes after 5 p.m. Everyone is Chinese on Chinese New Year, so come have fun in the year of the Tiger! Gung Hoy Fat Choy!

The 15th Annual Los Angeles Art Show

The 15th annual Los Angeles Art Show returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center January 20-24 with more than 100 international exhibitors, an engaging lecture series and events program, and special exhibits. The 2010 Los Angeles Art Show debuts a Guest Country Program and welcomes Uruguay. The Guest Country Program is comprised of specially curated exhibitions, lecture programming and special project space. A special exhibition of Uruguay's top International artists will be on view.
Thousands of museum patrons, art collectors and supporters of arts education attend the Los Angeles Art Show opening night gala benefit each year.
The evening attracts generous arts supporters who often purchase items from Los Angeles Art Show exhibitors to add to their personal collections or donate to public collections. The 2010 benefit raises funds and awareness for three exceptional non-profits, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Art Museum Council, and its Prints & Drawings Council and Inner City Arts.
