Non-Boring Opera

OperaWorks' 2009 original "Non-Boring Opera" will feature 30 Advanced and Professional Artists in a new opera created during OperaWorks' advanced program. In four weeks, these artists will have learned to let go of the traditional "plant and sing" model to perform in a contemporary style that is vibrant, exciting, and relevant and engaging for today's audiences.

Created by co-directors Melissa Weaver and Ann Baltz, choreographer Paula Thomson, and music directors Dan Bridston, Chun-Wei Kang and Shane Schag, this production will introduce exciting opera theater designed to touch the mind, body and soul of the audience. Join us!
