| BETTY WHITE WILL BE HONORED AT GREATER LOS ANGELES ZOO ASSOCIATION'S 40TH ANNUAL BEASTLY BALL

Elton John, Jane Goodall, Jay Leno, Sandra Bullock, Alex Trebek, Michael Feinstein and Jamie Lee Curtis are co-chairs for the Greater Los Angeles Zoo 40th Annual Beastly Ball honoring Betty White.
"Betty White is synonymous with the Los Angeles Zoo," says GLAZA President Connie Morgan. "Her heart and her advocacy for the animals that share our earth help drive us to excellence. Hers is a peerless example of leadership."
Guests, invited to stroll through the Zoo , dining on fare, enjoying music and dancing. There are also animal feedings and "animal walk-abouts." Performances To Grow On Offers A Showcase of Performers on June 15 in Thousand Oaks

Performances To Grow On will be offering a special showcase of performing artists that will be available for school assemblies next season at the Thousand Oaks Library, in the Marvin E. Smith Community Room, 1401 E. Janss Rd on Thurdsday June 15 from 9:00 am to 12:30. The event will offer schools, from elementary to high school, the opportunity to preview performances for next year that will be available at their school site. Teachers, principals and PTA parents are invited to attend. Performers from the fields of theater, music, dance, storytelling and history will be showcased. Many of the featured performers are acclaimed touring performers and are only available during a certain month. Spaces are limited to schools that book early. In addition schools can learn about the exciting array of performances that will be available as field trips in theatres like the Fred Kavli, Scherr Forum and and other theatres in Ventura County for classes of all grade levels. DINOSAURS The Arena Spectacular

Dinosaurs again roam the earth in the spectacular theatrical arena show, Walking with Dinosaurs, based on the award-winning BBC Television Series. Walking with Dinosaurs will return to Southern California for eight performances at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, followed by seven performances at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, in September 2010.
Ten species are represented from the entire 200 million year reign of the dinosaurs. The show includes the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous.
