LA's SEAGLASS THEATRE PRESENTS AN EVENING OF "ILLUMINATING THE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE"
SeaGlass Board Member James Denton of Desperate Housewives Headlines

Saturday, May 22 has been set as the date for Seaglass Theatre’s second annual fundraising event, it was announced today by Kimberly Van Luin, the company's Artistic Director who founded Chicago's prestigious Griffin Theatre, now in its 22nd year of producing. The event will be held from 7:00 to 11:00 pm at the Decor Art Galleries located at 12149 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, CA 91604, and is open to the public.
Dedicated to the SeaGlass mission of "Illuminating the American Experience", the evening will offer samplings of sumptuous cuisine indigenous to select regions throughout the U.S., complimented by a variety of diversified entertainment. SeaGlass Board member and longtime co-star James Denton of ABC TV's hit series Desperate Housewives and others associated with the popular rock group Band From TV - including actress/singer Erin O'Brien, Chris Kelley, and Mindy Stein - will lend their musical talents to headline the event; as will noted guitarists Luis Oliart and Dean Glorioso. Also scheduled to perform is Slowreck, a rollicking jalopy of hillbilly bluegrass and old school bluesy-rock. Additionally, valuable and diverse raffle prizes will be awarded to lucky ticket holders.
Event tickets at $30 each may be purchased online through SeaGlass Theatre at www.seaglasstheatre.org.
For additional information, call SeaGlass Theatre at (818) 745-5337.
"Cars and Guitars" exhibit at Topanga Canyon Gallery

The work of local artists Carol Hernandez and John Adams will be on display at the Topanga Canyon Gallery through June 6, 2010.
Carol Hernandez captures the many faces of the guitar in her award winning paintings. Based on her original photography, Carol's work is created using multiple layers of paint, pastel and charcoal. "I love painting guitars because much like the instrument itself, there is so much room for experimentation."
More of her work can be seen at her website ArtistCarol.com.
25% of the sale price of each guitar artwork will be donated to the Fender Music Foundation. The Fender Music Foundation provides funding and resources for music programs across America so that kids and adults alike will have an opportunity to experience the joys of music
John Adams captures the glory of the American Automobile in his celebratory mixed media images. Loaded with bright color and deep textures his work evokes the timeless beauty of our monsters of metal. John's work captures their enduring appeal and in so doing the generation that created them.
A reception for the artists will be held on May 14, 6 pm to 9pm.
Gallery hours for the exhibit are: Wednesday-Saturday, 10am-6pm, Sunday, 11am-5pm. The gallery is located in Pine Tree Circle at 120 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., Suite 109, Topanga, CA 90290. For details, call 310-455-7909 or visit www.topangacanyongallery.com.
