Fashion Meets Music in "Pomp & Circumstance- A Royal Affair"
By Staff Writer

Recently in the Los Angeles area, a stunning London inspired red carpet fashion show took place. The event was held at Busby's East, which is the former site of the Conga Room and is famous to the Los Angeles area. This event was called Fashion Meets Music, and it was used to entice the audience with a cutting edge blend of music and entertainment that promoted the best in network and shopping in the area. This new idea of fashion and music celebration was a way to help review new collections by designers and various vendors that wanted to showcase their new couture designs.

The London feel of the event was evident when all of the attendants were greeted at the door by a Royal guard and then able to see actual replicas of British historical pieces. These creative ideas were used to bring the feel of the Buckingham Palace right into the Los Angeles area, while also promoting the top tastes in fashion and design. From there the venue was transformed from a normal club type atmosphere to an arena where all fashion fans could be brought into a different place. The event itself was streamed live globally so that fashionistas all over the world would not miss out on these hot new trends.

Many of you might remember Heather Chadwell from VH1's the Rock of Love, who was actually the host of this amazing fashion event. Along that line, there were many other celebrities and models that were happy to attend the event and watch the collection showcased on the runway set to the tune of a live orchestra. The way this event came together is really unlike anything that you may have ever seen since its creativity was broadcast in both the fashion and the atmosphere of the gala. The entertainment for the event included a live show from Anne Montone, who actually won the Scion Vocalist Competition. The feel of the event hoped to bring to all those attending a mix of pop, R&B, and hip-hop within the greatest new fashions designs that were in the LA area. Just to add some flavor to the fun, there was also an expert mime performance by Myth, who is a professional mime-artist, dancer, and choreographer.

This great event used a multicultural celebration of all of the new runway designs that are currently hitting the catwalks. Fashion is something that can be globally appreciated, and this event certainly proved that point when all different types of people under the sun came together to appreciate a British twist to an urban type party. The suggested donation at the door that night was $10 and a large portion of the proceeds were used to benefit Artshare, which is a renowned LA Charity that makes a huge effort to help young people in finding their paths in the creative fields. This organization has been noted for making large strides in promoting art, fashion, and music in many young lives.

I can think of nothing better than an event that celebrates fashion and music, and I know that certain celebrities agreed with me since in attendance was fashion designer Pol' Atteu and music video producer Miriam Jacobs. It is great to see that such a high profile and creative event in the Los Angeles area was actually doing its part to benefit and promote the celebration the arts in every walk of life. Not only were all attendants at this event able to enjoy amazing collections of relevant and in demand fashion concepts, but they can also rest assured that they were helping future designers to have the same chance.
