Outdoor Ice Skating at the Coolest Winter Destination in the San Fernando Valley!

Woodland Hills Ice opens Nov. 25, 2009 for our first annual winter wonderland, in the heart of the West San Fernando Valley at Westfield Promenade in Woodland Hills. Featuring over 6000 square feet of real ice, our outdoor ice rink will offer daily recreational ice skating along with special events, skating exhibitions and shows, birthday parties, holiday activities, skating lessons and more throughout the duration of the holiday season and through the winter.

Woodland Hills Ice will be open daily from Nov. 25, 2009 – Feb. 21, 2010, including holidays.

THE WELLNESS COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE 18TH ANNIVERSARY HOLIDAY HOMES TOUR AND BOUTIQUE, DEC. 5-6

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura will hold its 18th Annual Holiday Homes Tour from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6. The self-guided tour is the organization's largest fundraiser, with proceeds helping to fund The Wellness Community's free programs of support, education and hope for people fighting cancer and for their families. Tickets are $25 until Oct. 31, $30 after Oct. 31 and $35 at the door. Online ticket purchase, and a list of local ticket outlets, are available at www.TwcVv.org. The Wellness Community also will hold its annual Holiday Boutique the same weekend at the North Ranch Community Center, 1400 N. Westlake Blvd. in Westlake Village, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the organization. The Holiday Boutique is free to the public and does not require the purchase of tour tickets.

The Hollywood Christmas Parade

The Hollywood Christmas Parade promises to be extra special this year because the parade will air nationally. MyNetworkTV will telecast the parade on December 10, 2009 (with an Encore Presentation airing on Christmas Eve). Susan Lucci, Emmy Award Winning Actress, "All My Children" Star and American's Reigning Queen of Daytime Television has been named as the 2009 Grand Marshal.

Proceeds will benefit this year's charity, Feed The Children, a nonprofit relief organization which delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families.

The parade will be presented in Hollywood on November 29, 2009.
The holidays will be ushered in with a special appearance by Santa. The parade will travel on a U-shaped route throughout Hollywood starting at Orange St. and Hollywood Blvd., traveling East onto Hollywood Blvd. turning South onto Vine St., and then traveling West onto Sunset Blvd. back to Orange St.

This year's parade will feature 13 award winning bands, 10 of which hail from California.
