Great Ways to Spend a Lazy Sunday Afternoon
By Kasan Groupe

After a long, long week stuck in the office, nothing sounds better than a nice relaxing weekend at home. But with your brain running on automatic pilot for days on end, it can be difficult to just lay back and relax. In fact it's hard to know what to even do with a few extra hours. If you're looking for something relaxing to do this weekend other than sleep, check out my list below of great ways to spend you Sunday afternoon.
1. Yoga. As long as you aren't attempting to practice Bikram yoga, then it's safe to assume that you'll have a relaxing and enjoyable time meditating and stretching. It'll be the perfect way to clear your head and feel completely refreshed.
2. Watch a good TV show. As long as you have the internet, you can literally find all TV shows online free. So curl up on the couch and catch up a show you've been aching to see as of late.
3. Do the newspaper crossword puzzle. Assuming you aren't too intellectually pooped from the preceding week, this can be some great fun. You won't have to do much more than Google the all of the answers you can't find.
4. Take your dog for a walk. Make sure it's a nice slow walk. Take in the scenery; get a breath of fresh air. It'll give you some time for introspection as well as some quality time with your pooch.
5. Make a pot of coffee and read the newspaper front to back. Who has the time to do this anymore? But if you actually take the time, it can be quite enjoyable to catch up all of the current events you've been missing out on.
6. Watch a movie with your spouse/significant other. Nothing can be more relaxing than cuddling up next to someone you love and watching a great classic film. Choose wisely and avoid action movies if you really want to have a relaxing day.
7. Go to the beach. As long as the weather permits, this can be a fantastic way to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon. Lay with a good book and get some sun. Because really, how often do you get a chance to do that anymore?
8. Take your kids to the park. If you've got kids and you work full-time, then you certainly don't see them enough. So why not grab a couple of Frisbees, make a picnic lunch, and stroll over to the park for the afternoon.
9. Cook a gourmet meal. It doesn't really have to be anything too fancy because that would ultimately spoil any of the laziness you were trying so hard to achieve. But start the day out by heading to your local farmers' market and picking up some fresh vegetable and fruit. Then head back home and whip up a delicious feast.
10. Take a siesta. Just spend your entire Sunday afternoon halfway between wakefulness and sleep. It's hard to find the time to do that anymore, so take advantage of it if you can every once and a while.
